Bumbleberry has her mother's laid back get to work personality. I can hardly believe it, but she and her brother were born normal size after her dam milked right through her pregnancy. She grew surprisingly well and is taller and longer than her dam.  She was GCH Junior doe at the 2018 MD State Fair where her dam was BOB. She finished her championship one year later at the very same show. As a first freshener, she received her Supreme Champion Genetics designation as well as ELITE doe status. We are thrilled she made the Top Ten list this year being #3 for milk and fat and #6 in protein. Second generation Top Ten! She had a single this year and wasn't looking like any big record, so it was a perfect time to send her to Smart Repro for embryo collection. The only disappointment is that she was at Smart Repro when we finally were able to get Appraised. Hopefully next year.  Bred to Joheas-Acres SF King, a SGCH Shuffle-Up'N'Deal son. Shuffle was the 2015 National Champion & Best Udder and 2016 Reserve National Champion and Best Udder. Kids will be $800.

Shown as a dry yearling, she picked up her dry Championship leg. She easily finished her championship as a milker. We don't show champions at regular shows so she stayed home working and working she did! We did take Burberry to the 2016 National Show where she placed 6th in her class but the icing on the cake was her Highest 305 Butterfat Production Award which would have put her in the Top Ten for Butterfat if we would have had a check test. We had no idea! Her next lactation she milked heavier than ever with a peak of 18.1 pounds. We played it safe and had a check test and she not only made the Top Ten list but was #1 in milk, fat and protein! Unfortunately with high production came breeding problems and we had a very hard time getting her bred. She did eventually catch but we just couldn't dry her up.  At 452 days fresh, she had a test day of 7.9 pounds on Sunday and dropped twins on Wednesday. The day she kidded her milk was down slightly but went right back up to 14 pounds. This doe was truly one in a million and had we not experienced it, I wouldn't have believed it could happen. Her lactation was just average that year, which we would expect with no rest. Shown at two fairs in 2017, she was Best in Show once and in contention at the second plus Appraised EX92 EEEE. After two months dry in 2018, she was right back at it  with a very good record but was cut short when she was bred on her first heat. This record also earned her a Top Ten Record of #6 in milk production, #1 in Butterfat and #5 in Protein. We lost her and her doe kid at kidding in 2019.  It was heartbreaking and left a huge hole in our hearts. We leave her here for reference.
