Shown as a dry yearling, she picked up her dry Championship leg. She easily finished her championship as a milker. We don't show champions at regular shows so she stays home working and working she does! We did take Burberry to the 2016 National Show where she placed 6th in her class but the icing on the cake was her Highest 305 Butterfat Production Award which would have put her in the Top Ten for Butterfat if we would have had a check test. We had no idea! Her next lactation she milked heavier than ever with a peak of 18.1 pounds. We played it safe and had a check test and she not only made the Top Ten list but was #1 in milk, fat and protein! Unfortunately with high production comes breeding problems and we had a very hard time getting her bred. She did catch in January but we just couldn't dry her up.  At 452 days fresh, she had a test day of 7.9 pounds on Sunday and dropped twins on Wednesday. The day she kidded her milk was down slightly but went right back up to 14 pounds. This doe is truly one in a million and had we not experienced it, I wouldn't have believed it could happen. Her lactation was just average, which we would expect with no rest. Shown at two fairs in 2017, she was Best in Show once and in contention at the second plus Appraised EX92 EEEE. After two months dry for 2018, she was right back at it  with a very good record but was cut short when she was bred on her first heat. This record also earned her a Top Ten Record of #6 in milk production, #1 in Butterfat and #5 in Protein. We lost her and her doe kid this year at kidding.  It was heartbreaking and left a huge hole in our hearts. We leave her here for reference.

Bumbleberry has her mother's laid back get to work personality. I can hardly believe it but she and her brother were born normal size after her dam milked right through her pregnancy. She grew surprisingly well and is taller and longer than her dam.  She was GCH Junior doe at the 2018 MD State Fair where her dam was BOB and she finished her championship one year later at the very same show. She is out milking her dam's first lactation and as a first freshener, has recieved her Supreme Champion Genetics  designation as well as ELITE doe status. We are hoping she will out milk her dam on her next lactation and aiming for Top Ten like her dam.

When we lost Burberry and her kid this spring, we were devastated and Kris reached out to Betty, of Betty's Acres, who bought her last buck kid  to see if there were any purebred doe kids available out of Baneberry.  little Doris Day came to live with us. Shown only twice, once Junior Champion and first in her class at MD State Fair, she is coming right along. The Toggs have always been Jeremy and Kris's love and pet project.
